Junior Merchandiser

Department: Buying & Merchandising

About You

As the Junior Merchandiser, you will assist the Head of Merchandising and provide support in the planning and trading of your department. You will proactively assist in the day to day running of all merchandising operations, with an aim to deliver a range that optimises sales, stock and profit. Your personable and positive demeanour makes you a reliable partner to the merchandising team and allows you to form strong working relationships across the different departments in order to influence growth and drive efficiency.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gathering and collating relevant information to support the merchandising team in the range planning process and in-season trading
  • Working closely with the Buying team to monitor deliveries, highlighting issues where required and suggesting solutions
  • Work across the business to ensure that the critical path is implemented and adhered to each season
  • Updating and re-forecasting the WSSIs on selected budget groups under the guidance of the Head of Merchandising, and proposing ways to capitalise and de-risk the department
  • Assisting the team in markdown planning
  • Managing the line cards ensuring they are all accurate, proposing actions where necessary
  • Actively help prepare and participate in weekly Trade Meetings
  • Understanding and supporting the direction and strategy of the departments and brand
  • Developing positive working relationships cross-functionally across departments and externally
  • Keeping up to date with competitor activity to make commercially informed decisions
  • Deputising for the Head of Merchandising and Merchandiser as required (meetings, ad-hoc projects)

Skills and Knowledge

The Junior Merchandiser is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:

  • Solid merchandising experience 3 years+ experience
  • Experience in Childrenswear or toys is preferred
  • Experience of managing the critical path process
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build positive relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presenting skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with superb attention to detail
  • Driven, motivated, and ambitious
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment and perform effectively under pressure

Performance Marketing Senior Executive - Google and Bing Ads

Department: Marketing

About You


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Performance Marketing Manager to execute the acquisition strategy to drive new customers, whilst developing a strong retention strategy in partnership with the CRM team
  • Use segmented audiences from our customer data in Ometria to retarget lapsed / high value users on Google and Bing
  • Develop an audience segmentation and targeting strategy in partnership with the Paid Social and Affiliates Executive
  • Work within the wider marketing team to accelerate business growth across Shopping, Paid Search, Discovery and YouTube
  • Build and deliver relevant weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting with insights
  • Fully manage hands-on day-to-day paid campaign activities within Google and Bing: bid management, use of automation, performance monitoring, driving improvement in impression share and quality scores, campaign expansion, account restructures and segmentation, etc.
  • Have awareness and consideration of performance marketing spend and ROI
  • Leverage technical tools and quantitative data to optimise channel performance
  • Make recommendations for optimisations of creative and landing pages
  • Work collaboratively with the Brand marketing and Creative teams to deliver integrated multichannel digital marketing campaigns
  • Manage the day-to-day execution and up keep of the Google and Bing Ads roadmaps and testing plans, as well as analysing results and developing actionable insights
  • Work with our feed provider to optimise the Google Shopping feed for greater control and targeting in campaigns, as well as assisting to optimise the feed for other channels in the future e.g. Criteo, Facebook, Pinterest, International
  • Keep the marketing calendar up to date with Google and Bing Ads activities
  • Recommend and drive forward our generic search tactics and optimisations in line with product and category developments
  • Use profit margin data to optimise the Shopping account on a product level basis
  • Have experience in running YouTube for Action campaigns, and demonstrating the value of having an always-on strategy that delivers an effective ROI
  • Understand the cross-channel impact of Google campaigns, adjusting investment as required
  • Recommend brand incrementality testing and international growth opportunities
  • Be the marketing champion for data-led insight, and use automation techniques to our advantage as we scale our campaign budgets internationally

Skills and Knowledge

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a fast-paced e-commerce/retail based business with big budgets
  • Preferably experience managing global campaigns
  • Ideally with an agency background of 1+ years
  • Proven ability to grow incremental business revenue and ROI
  • Highly numerate and data-driven/results-orientated individual
  • Hands-on experience of running Google and Bing Ads campaigns, as well as knowledge of analytics platforms, preferably Google Analytics
  • Experience of handling reporting platforms like Google Data Studio or Supermetrics, and data feeds

Performance Marketing Executive - Paid Social and Affiliates

Department: Marketing

About You


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute the performance marketing strategy across paid social, affiliates and emerging opportunity channels such as Pinterest and TikTok to drive acquisition of new customers whilst developing a strong retention strategy
  • Use segmented audiences from our customer data in Ometria to retarget lapsed / high value users on Facebook and other social channels
  • Work with the CRM team and in partnership with the Google and Bing Ads Senior Executive to align audience segmentation and targeting with search strategy
  • Refine and expand the audience approach using insights from our customer base and by evaluating the success of historical campaigns in order to expand our reach
  • Work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to activate campaigns using influencer content
  • Work collaboratively with the Brand marketing and Creative teams to deliver best in class integrated multichannel digital marketing campaigns
  • Fully manage hands-on day-to-day paid campaign activities within Facebook and other social management tools: bid management, use of automation, performance monitoring, campaign expansion, account restructures and segmentation, etc.
  • Fully manage the Affiliates network account with support of the Performance Marketing Manager. Attend weekly calls, action the minutes and support on commission approvals and manage invoices and budget with consideration of ROI
  • Build and deliver relevant weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting with insights
  • Use a range of campaigns to achieve acquisition and retention goals; DPAs, prospecting, remarketing, drive loyalty of existing customers
  • Leverage technical tools and quantitative data to optimise channel performance
  • Adopt a test and learn approach to all aspects of social media management; creative, audience, channel
  • Manage the day-to-day execution and up keep of the paid social and affiliates roadmaps and testing plans, as well as analysing results and developing actionable insights
  • Keep the marketing calendar up to date with paid social and affiliates activity
  • Consider a mix of measures when evaluating social media performance; spend and CPO, brand and conversion uplift, halo effect on organic social, influencer reach
  • Use social listening tool to report on halo effect of social media campaigns and garner insights for social media campaigns

Skills and Knowledge

The Performance Marketing Planner is expected to have the following skills and knowledge:

  • 2+ years experience within a similar role
  • 1+ years agency experience with hands-on experience in implementing and running paid social campaigns
  • Experience working with affiliates is desired though not essential
  • Highly numerate and data driven/results-orientated individual
  • Has an eye for creative and content execution
  • Understands how to recognise and leverage social and consumer insights
